"Race to Nowhere"

Question: The movie "Race to Nowhere" is scheduled to be screened during the March 9 Superintendent's Conferenc Day. Will this movie also be made available for parents in the district?

Answer: Unfortunately, we have decided to cancel the March 9 screening of "Race to Nowhere" because of budgetary considerations. The district must pay a fee to the movie's production company for the rights to screen the movie, and we decided that the number of residents, faculty and staff who would be interested in seeing the movie was not enough to justify the cost.

That being said, if you find that there is enough community interest in the movie, we encourage you to visit the movie's website, where you can order a "community event" site license for $500. We would be happy to let you use the high school auditorium for a community screening.
