State versus federal aid to schools

Question: Where can I see exactly how many dollars of aid come from the state, and how many come from the federal government?
Answer: This is an interesting question, since the aid runs are all state aid except for the $166,764 we get for Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK), which is technically federal aid. Also, the majority of our federal aid that we receive through Race to the Top is not represented in the state aid runs and is not, in fact, part of the general fund budget -- instead, we are required to report it as special aid.

Outside of that, it's difficult to separate what money is actually federal aid since most federal aid goes to the state, which then distributes the money to school districts through the state aid allocation process.
